I have been reading through the forums trying to figure out which NAS best fits my needs. At first i was dazzled by the ReadyNAS setups but then about fell out of my chair when i saw the prices, then started thinking about RAID5 to get a bit more space but many of you guys seem to recommend against RAID5... in short i have come to the conclusion that price is important, reliability is of course *very* important, and feature set is less important (am willing to hack for features)(though WAN syncing of NAS2NAS is important).
So, any suggestions for a solid 4 bay (that can support 2tb drives) NAS that isnt insanely expensive (I saw some Synology NASes on newegg in the $500 and less range) would really be appreciated!
Cheers
