About as much a noob as you will find, so go easy on me.

I have an Asus EA N66 used as an ethernet adapter. I currently have it plugged into a PS3. I would like to use it with my AppleTV as well. The PS3 and the AppleTV are located right next to each other and are never used simultaneously.

Can I install a switch between the ethernet adapter and the PS3/AppleTV so they both utilize the EA N66?

Hope this is enough information.

Yes you can. The EA-N66 functions as a bridge. So each client should be able to pull an IP address from your main router.

Plug a switch port into the EA-N66's Ethernet jack and then plug your PS3 and AppleTV into other switch ports.
