I just performed OC on my AC68 (Merlin 378.55) to 1200/800, and right now I have no problem to access internet. However, I noticed, after speedtest, I could not access web interface (10.0.0.1 is my gateway) anymore (via both IE or Chrome), but I could connect the router through telnet. I was sure that I could access web interface after the OC.

is there a special step to OC the router? ( I have all devices plugged in and the router is also connected to my modem). Do I need to disconnect the WAN and other devices before OC?

downclock it to 1100. Seems your router isnt stable at 1200. It could slso be the 800 mem speed.... You'll have to play with it.

Try taking the mem clock down first (back to 667)....a lot of routers can't tolerate the faster memory clock.

I have performed 30/30/30 reset back too 800/667, when I disconnect everything from router except the computer connecting to the router, I have no problem to access GUI. However, after I connect the router to modem, and my printer( Lan cable), I can not access the GUI via IE or Chrome. However, I can still ping the router and access the router via PuTTY telnet.

I don't see anything... Try starting the gui.

telnet in:
cd /www
http -p 80

then try to access it

here is the return, it says http: not found, and i still can't access gui

ASUSWRT-Merlin RT-AC68U_3.0.0.4 Fri Jul 17 03:17:04 UTC 2015
admin@RT-AC68R-36E0:/tmp/home/root# cd /www
admin@RT-AC68R-36E0:/www# http -p 80
-sh: http: not found
admin@RT-AC68R-36E0:/www#

sorry i meant:
cd /www
httpd -p 80

the return is:
admin@RT-AC68R-36E0:/www# cd /www
admin@RT-AC68R-36E0:/www# httpd -p 80
bind: Address already in use
can't bind to any address

it still can't connect to GUI.
I have tried 10.0.0.1, and router.asus.com, and both of them don't work.

@ronan_zj type "ps | grep http" what's the output?

I just restarted my router, and i currently can access the web GUI, but I know 30mins later I won't be able to access it again.

here is the output I have:

admin@RT-AC68R-36E0:/tmp/home/root#

When that moment comes, type the above command again and check the output..

I use puTTY connect to 10.0.0.1 with port 80, it just gives me a black screen.

Nah..use telnet...follow the command exactly. When see a blank screen again, try to type something and press ENTER.
