I have an issue where my ISP ran a line from my apartment box outside (has line for all the apartments) to a window in my apartment. This was supposed to be a temporary solution but thanks to politics between my isp and apartment building it's become a permanent one. The ISP used the wrong type of line for this and the connection is barely usable now after a year. The ISP wants to charge me $250 to replace 10 feet of line. They are the only isp for the apartment complex. The phone tech says I have a right to open the box and run the line myself and thus the charge.
My question is do I really have the right to do this? Or should I speak to my landlord which wont get me anywhere.
