OpenVPN Duration setting

Please be gentle, noob question and help needed.

Is there anyway of setting a duration in the OpenVPN Custom Configuration area. I would like every VPN connection to only be active for a certain amount of time.

I have found strings like
--inactive
time_duration

in the documentation, but I have no idea how to use it, or if it is even possible. I don't just want it to disconnect if no data is exchanged, but at a specific am out of time, ex 8 hours.

Is that possible, hoping for your help.

What you're asking is possible, but not via the GUI. How are you with scripts?

Provide the router model and the firmware you have installed on it for starters. Others may give suggestions for the requirements you desire.

I have the RT-AX86U with Merlin firmware. And need it for when doing split tunneling, to shut down VPN connections automatically after a period of time.
