OpenVPN Reconnects not neogiotating new port on server.

Hi all. I've been using open VPN for quite some and it works flawlessly for me for the most part. I do have one issue though that I just cannot seem to nail down. I at least now know what the issue is and what is going on... I have a Synolgy NAS at a remote site that connects to my open VPN server that runs on my router. once in a while, the connection will drop and the NAS tries to reconnect... When it does reconnect, it connects with the same port number (by design according to Synology) yet the router is using a new port number. The connection stays up but nothing actually works... Any ideas how to 'fix' this?

Thanks in advance.

So your NAS is remote, and it's connecting as an OpenVPN *client* back to the OpenVPN server on your router (so far, so good, although a little unusual since I would normally expect the roles to be reversed).

Where you lost me is this issue w/ port #. Your OpenVPN server is typically using a "fixed" port (e.g., 1194). And your OpenVPN client depends on it being the same, or else how could it dependably connect to your server? So you lost me on this issue of the port changing for some reason. Please explain.
