I've attended several IETF conferences, and most hotels/meeting venues are just not equipped to handle things... we melted those networks into goo... without trying hard. The IETF 71 in Philly, where Comcast was a sponsor, was probably one of the best in my experience - 100GB aggregated backhaul!

IETF 71 was also the first IETF meeting to force everyone to IPV6 for the mid-week plenary... interesting results there...
