PCE-AC68 Suddenly Slow Download Speeds

New Around Here
Hey people, I have a major problem with my AC network and it's confusing me to the point I had to ask for help.

I have an RT-AC68U, this computer has a PCE-AC68 and another computer has the PCE-AC66. The AC66 is able to achieve download rates of 180 Mbps consistently with a noted connection rate of 702 Mbps. I have the same connection rate (almost equal distances) and I can net anywhere from 2 Mbps to 19 Mbps. Our upload rates are equal at around 21 Mbps.

I'm ruling out the router because my other computer works great on the same 5ghz network. I have uninstalled the card and drivers, reloaded them and no luck. I even swapped out my ant. cables, no luck. I have the latest and greatest drivers on everything from my MOBO chipset to the network card. I even uninstalled the entire AI suite because I read that Network iControl was the devil. I'm sure this is something simple but I'm not seeing it. Please help.

Oh yeah, one more thing. When I use my "N" network I'm able to achieve 100+ Mbps and ping rates stay at 9ms on each network.

I second the suggestion to swap the cards.

I have a PCE-AC68 and I always wonder if my performance would be better if I had the AC66. But the only way to test it would be to try both on the same machine, and I have no AC66 to swap in.

I also have that card, I was having issues with it at first. I played around with the channels and also up dated my Rt-ac68r to merlin's firmware and all my issues have gone away? I get 114 down 15 up on my 5g connection and also on the 2.4. For got to mention my download rates are between 866.5 Mbps to 1G and thats on my 5g connection, I see the 1G when I download big files but always stay at 866.5mbps?

Eureka!!!

Guys I got a new card from Amazon and it acted the same way. I went through a myriad of different troubleshooting steps and then decided to take it back to basics. Long story short, my wireless headset base station was causing issues. Thanks for all of your help. If you're curious it's the Astro A50 headset.
