Performance difference between 384.11 vs 384.13?

I'm seeing a negative difference by going up to 384.13, from 384.11 The fluidity while gaming, on wired, feels negatively impacted. It feels like there is micro stutter. Is there a way to observe the behavior between the two or would it just come down to bench-marking, which I've never seen done after initial reviews of a router and it's firmware.

Overall A+

EDIT: I just want to mention that I didn't just switch to 384.13 I tried 13 when it came out and noticed a difference and I went back to 11_2 for a while, then 11, tried 13 again then went back to 11 and now I'm back on 13 again and the difference is very noticeable.

Perhaps is related to this?
I know the setting was changed in 384.12 (22-June-2019)
- CHANGED:
The router will now use ISP-provided resolves instead of local dnsmasq when attempting to resolve addresses, for improved reliability.
This reproduces how stock firmware behaves.
This only affects name resolution done
by the router itself, not by the LAN clients.
The behaviour can still be changed on the
Tools -> Other Settings page.

Perhaps that is it. I've never changed that before so that might be it, I'll give it a shot, thanks.
