Pinging both ways on AC66u and AC68u VPN

So I posted in the VPN section but I am also running Merlin on my AC66u and although I am currently running OpenVPN off of my Synology DS214+, I am thinking of moving it to the router and want to figure this out.

I have two sites:

A) OpenVPN server side: 192.168.50.0/24
B) OpenVPN client side: 192.168.1.0/24

The OpenVPN IP range is 10.8.0.0/24

I can ping the 192.168.50.x range from the client when it connects but I cannot ping the 192.168.1.x from the serving side. How can I get the VPN to function both ways?

So I've got OpenVPN running from my AC66u (Firmware:376.45) and have a vanilla AC68u connected via VPN client, can ping by IP from the AC68u side to the AC66u, but not vice versa. I understand I need some sort of route config, can someone help me do that?
