New Around Here
Hi, I just installed Merlin on my new ASUS RT-AC66U yesterday.

What makes me worried is that I can see port 80 is open when I do an nmap from the outside.

When I try to connect using a browser and check wireshark, something seems to respond at first with SYN,ACK / ACK, but when the browser tries a GET request I eventually get a HTTP Gateway timeout (504).

I have set "Enable Web Access from WAN = No". I have forwarded 3 other ports, but certainly not port 80.

Any ideas why I'm seeing this? I would definitely like port 80 to be closed from the outside.

Thanks

Sounds like something happening at your ISP level, possibly some filtering or proxying they do, resulting in the gateway message. If port 80 had really been open, you would have seen the router's webui.
