after updating to 384.9.0 my port forwarding table disappeared. i had like 5-8 profiles. yet, port forwarding was still working. with the release of 384.10.2, i thought it would fix this issue. however, it did not. my port forwarding table is empty (see attached file). when i go to add a profile, there is no apply button of any kind.

wondering if there are any others with this issue. thanks.

Have you tried a different browser? Did you clear the cache on your current one? Does a reboot (both the router and your computer) resolve anything?

Maybe (guess) more importantly, when was the last time you did a full reset to factory defaults and then minimally and manually configure the router to secure it and connect to your ISP?

If it has been a while, the issues you're seeing (assuming the suggestions above don't work) will probably be only fully fixed after a full M&M Config has been performed.

Please see my signature below for the links and further details on how to get your router to a good/known state (because it doesn't seem to be there now).

There's no need to reset the entire router just for a possibly corrupted port forward list...

Post the content of the following SSH command:

Code:
nvram get vts_rulelist

My guess is it possibly has an invalid entry.

never had to do a full reset to factory default, nor minimally and manually configure the router (something i haven't heard of til you mentioned it).

So, how many times have you upgraded the firmware? A specific number isn't important, but is it one, three more than ten?

When you did upgrade, did you ever use a previously saved config file to restore to the new firmware version?

I have hope that RMerlin can solve this elegantly for you.

I suspect though that a full M&M Config (please see my signature for links and further details) is needed in your case to get the router once again to a good/known state. :)

i fw update everytime a new fw is released. i was on asus' fw til i came across asus-merlin starting with 384.5. i always do backup of my cfg file after every update. i have not restored any saved config file after an update. i'll give the m&m a shot probably this weekend. thx for your help, replies, and suggestions!

You might want to downgrade to the previous firmware and restore the config backup taken for that specific version and capture your port forward rules via GUI and the nvram command given by Rmerlin. Then upgrade again and reset to factory defaults and re-add your rules manually.

came up blank...see attached file.

Then there are no configured port forwards.

There are no more Apply button because Asus redesigned the page so any time you add/edit a profile, it immediately gets saved to nvram.

I'm having the same problem after upgrading to .13 release... my table died and will not save any new entries

How much nvram space do you have? Check on the tools page. If space is tight it won't save your settings.

Lot's of stuff is used by nvram, one of the culprits could be unused ssh keys or keys for ovpn or lots of static hosts and long host names.
