Guys I run into unusual issue: I cannot set DNS to "auto" if I manually set WAN IP address

Steps to reproduce:
- navigate to http://192.168.0.1/Advanced_WAN_Content.asp
- set "Get the WAN IP automatically" to no
- set IP Address to 192.168.1.2, Subnet to 255.255.255.0 and default gateway to 192.168.1.1 (my modem's IP address)
- click apply
- after page refresh WAN DNS Setting is changed from automatic to manual; DNS Server 1 is set 4.2.2.1 (last value I was experimenting with)

Now I am trying to set "Connect to DNS Server Automatically" to Yes - and after clicking "apply" it goes back to "No" and shows previous manual setting!!!

I tried it from different PCs and different browsers - definitely not a cached page.

I even tried to delete 4.2.2.1 / 4.2.2.2 -but it won't allow me to save it blank

The only way I can DNS Server to Automatic if set WAN IP to automatic.

Anybody else sees such issue?

This is normal. For automatic DNS to work, you need to be set in DHCP (Automatic). When you set the router with a static IP it tells it to not run a DHCP client on the WAN interface, therefore you need to manually provides the DNS servers it should use.
