possible problem with 270 fw

Channel 40 mgz, stream 2.4 router does not react adequately on newer fws.
WiFi cards which despite "N"-have maximum 150 mbps cannot pass through maximum and remain in a half pf productivity - 65 mbps.
Output is much higher on fw 220 than 270.
Anybody can check this, pls?

Mine seems ok on latest Merlin 270 in Australia.
Just a long shot, whats your country code?
Power management is country specific, wonder if there is a country specific issue.

wifi adapter- transfer rate

I was mentioning date transfer rate - which was found decreased on some wifi adapters (cards laptops- pci express mini card) depending on last fw.

No, not my experience original 270 and Merlin's 270.24 is at par with 220 if not better. Wireless outputs depends on the environment, distance of the client from the wireless station. If everything is equal a "single" stream N wireless client can connect Max to an N66U when the following bandwidth is set.

a. 20 MHz = 65Mbps
b. 40 MHz = 150Mbps

Since wireless is half duplex, expect half of the connection speed is the actual speed it can achieve.
