PPPoE issues

My router (RT-AX86U) seems to have some issues with connecting to PPPoE (could be ISP's fault not router). It seems to connect successfully then immediately disconnect and try to connect again which fails because my ISP have some kind of rate-limit by mac address on PPPoE login attempts. This prevents my router from connecting for +-10mins. Manually changing my mac address get it to instantly connect correctly. I'm wondering if there's a way to randomize the mac address on each PPPoE connection attempt.

Not 100% sure if this is related but worth a shot to try and change the setting (if it’s in aggressive or continuous mode) to normal, to check:



Then of course there’s folks that have fixed it by replacing a cable to the modem or switching off the modem for a minute and switching it back on again…

Thank you. I was surprised how I missed that option. Turns out that it's not shown when I select PPPoE as WAN connection type.
