Hi,

Since a while, I can no longer connect to my OpenVPN server setup on my router (AC66U running Asuswrt-Merlin 380.70). It's been working flawlessly earlier, and I have not changed any configuration afaik. I've tried connecting using two different units, but the OpenVPN just timeouts (see below). I've also tried setting up a PPTP server, but am not able to connect to that neither.

I've restarted the router and the another units as well. The VPN server and the DDNS are up and running.

The OpenVPN client shows it trying to connect to the correct IP:
14:47:30.455 -- Connecting to [xxx.asuscomm.com]:1194 (x.x.x.x) via UDPv4

14:47:40.443 -- Server poll timeout, trying next remote entry...

14:47:40.475 -- EVENT: RECONNECTING

14:47:40.481 -- Contacting x.x.x.x:1194 via UDP

14:47:40.483 -- EVENT: WAIT

I'd appreciate any help on how to fault trace.. logs to search for errors et.c. (as I believe the problem laying on the router side?).

Thanks in advance,
Sl

I'm having a similar issue connecting. It worked when I tested a few months ago however since then, a couple of things did change. I got FIOS and I updated Asuswrt-Merlin firmware on my RT-AC88U. That being said, I don't know if the fault lies with the firmware or with the new ISP (Verizon FIOS). In my setup at least, I an not using their router. My Asus is the main and only router.
