Problems with g.fast (AX88U)

I've just moved over from VDSL to g.fast and I'm having some issues with download speeds.
My sync speeds are right up near the top at 312mbps but when I perform speed tests I'm getting very varied results ranging from 85mbps to 160mbps. According to the speed test site my download bufferbloat is F.
My upload speeds are great and consistent and show a bufferbloat of either A or B.
My ISP also provided a Fritz!box router and when I use this my download speeds increase to around 250mbps but my download speeds decrease slightly. However even with the Fritz!box my download bufferbloat is still F.
I guess the Fritz!box just deals with it better than my AX88U. Does anyone have any suggestions what I can try to eliminate the problem on my Asus router?
I'm running 384 .12 beta 2.

Thanks in advance

seems to be an issue with your ISP.

Think you are in Europe, use another test like fast.com (edit settings for up and down with bufferbloat), for me it is much more reliable than dslreport.

It is all very strange.
If I use fast.com then I get results similar to speedtest.net and thinkbroadband, anything from 30mb to 100mb but if I use dslreports I get around 300mbps download speeds and bufferbloat is reported as A or B.
If I download a 5GB file from my google drive using a http I also get around 300mbps but if I try and download say an Ubuntu ISO I only get 50-60mbps. I can't seem to find any other downloads that download faster than 60-70mbps. It's all very inconsistent apart from downloading from google or DSLReports which consistently show 300mbps.
Seriously scratching my head, what on earth is going on?

I even dont see any need for G.fast for your line, should get same speed with vplus, but at the end contact your ISP and ask if they can see anything slowing your worldwide connection.
Are there any downloads directly from your ISP where you could test within his network?

Sorry but I don't understand your comments. VDSL tops out at 80mb unless I payed a few ££££s to BT to install fibre to my door. Where as g.fast is up to 330mb and doesn't cost me a fortune. With FTTC I was getting 70+, my sync speed on g.fast is 315mb so I should be getting 85-90% of that. Like I said I can download at up to just over 300mb a file from gdrive over http. It's just that there is a randomness to it all. I seem to have some reports of bad bufferbloat on some speedtest sites and on others everything is fine with no significant bloat and download speeds in the 300mb area. I ain't never going to get close to those speeds with VDSL.

I said for your line vplus-35b would be fine too, I have 285Mb/s vplus 275m away from cabinet.
BT may offer only G.fast, than you should have optionally upto 1Gb/s.
If you got FTTH why do they use G.fast, noway to get an ONT instead?

Mad clone the ISP box see if that helps my ISP for regular VDSL 2 is pretty picky like that also.

With any BW upgrade - check your local QoS settings, that can be a problem...
