Problems with new firmware on ac66u

I just decided to update my firmware from a really old version and know some of my older electronics cannot connect wirelessly to the router, devices such as an older hp printer and 2 ipods 3g's. The devices find the wireless network however they also say its impossible to connect.

Anyone else having this issue or know how to resolve this?
