Qnap 410 Turbo Network.

New Around Here
Hi,

I'm using a Qnap 410 Turbo to provide a short term disk storage via Iscsi for Microsoft DPM 2010, before it goes off to tape. I've set the Nics up as a IEEE 802.3ad with 9k jumbo packets. Is this the best network configuration if I'm after the fastest network throughput on this device?

Cheers.
Steve.

If you're using a current machine, jumbo packets don't really help.
Link aggregation on a client machine doesn't give you extra throughput
because only one link is active at a time.

My test of the TS412, which uses a 1.2 GHz vs. 800 MHz Marvell Kirkwood CPU showed better performance using SMB/CIFS vs. iSCSI.
