I would've appreciated eSATA ports more than just a bump in CPU speed, as the 809 (and 439) is conspicuous as their only (and highest-end) Intel model without any eSATA. But I guess that would require a change in chipset/controller...

In any case, does SmallNetBuilder plan to re-benchmark the new 809 version with 2.8GHz CPU?
 
its probably just an upgrade because the slower cpus are no longer available. so they switch to newer faster available cpus.
 
Great news from Qnap again! Qnap is really doing many things right to attract all sorts of new customers. A 2.8 GHz dual core CPU in a NAS is awesome!
