QNAP QTS 4.2.1 Released

Features included in QNAP's latest QTS 4.2.1 NAS OS include:
  • Virtual Switches - Aid in building isolated network environments
  • Proxy servers - Cache and record downloaded content in order to help save bandwidth
  • “Previous Version” - Snapshots provide immediate file restores that save time
  • Qsirch 2.1 - Indexes stored files as a background task
  • Hybrid Backup Synch - Consolidates basic data protection features (backup, restore, and synch) and ships data to local and external storage repositories.
  • Qmail – Email client that gives users the ability to access or switch between email accounts, while also backing up email locally from a cloud service to the QNAP NAS.
  • Linux Station - Provides a Linux environment that is accessible from a browser
  • Virtualization Station 2.1 - Adds more features to help facilitate virtual machine operations, such as GPU Passthrough and several new guest drivers.
  • Container Station - Supports editable LXC and Docker containers.
