I have been out of the loop for a long while when it comes to NAS but have a question about the QNAP TS-412-US as compared to the synology ds413j. It all comes down to Raid 5 and how each works. I read somewhere that the synology hybrid Raid 5 you are able to have different sizes of hdd and change out different sizes with different sizes. That said, they also said with the QNAP that is not possible. All must be the same size. Could anyone that is knowledgeable on these two straighten me out if I have something wrong? Thanks.
