QOS Questions with RT-AC68R

Hey guys I have a few questions about the QOS features on this router. I use the router for gaming and web browsing, Netflix, amazon prime. I have not had any issues with this router what so ever, it was easy to set up and so forth.
Well last night I started to watch an amazon movie and it kept on buffing, so I decide to add my surround sound system to the QOS manager ,I use that to watch Netflix and amazon. Well it kept buffing, I could not figure it out, I did a speed test and all was fine. I am running Firmware: 3.0.0.4.374.4561, well I decide to turn the QOS feature off and as soon I did that I was able to watch the movie with no issues?

I use the QOS feature because I am a gamer, so I have my pc, ps4, ps3 on the QOS, I really can’t tell a difference when it is on or off, but I have it on just in case. So I am wondering if the QOS is causing issues with me trying to use Netflix, Amazon. Like I said I have not had any issues with this router, no rebooting on its own or other stuff that I see people having on this forum.

Thanks for all your help guys.

Hi,
QSO uses router resources. Unless you tweak it for specific purpose after spending time with great patience, just leave it off. I spent few days tweaking this way and that way
to make and see benefit of QSO in my case on Netgear R7000.

Well I did have one reboot, about 2 days ago, but since then it has been working fine. I was thinking of flashing it with melin's firmware but I still have not done that.

I use the this router mainly for home use, web, netflix, pc and console gaming. I dont really use the other great features that this router has, I do have QOS on, took my ps4 off the dmz and have really not had any issues since that reboot it did a few days ago.

So after 2 days and 10 hours, my router just rebooted 2 mins ago???? I will have to flash it with Merlin's firmware, should I update it with the newiest one that he has on his web site??? Can someone recommend which one to update with?

Thanks guys.

374.40-alpha4 is the last known stable build for the RT-AC68U.
