QoS upload config limits max download speed through VPN client

Hello;

I'm using Asus RT-AC88u with firmware 380_64_2 and; my download/upload speed are 50mbit/4mbit provided by ISP. I've configured a droplet form digitalocean, configured it as my openVPN server and my router is connecting it as a VPNclient.

My QoS config can be seen on the attached qos.jpg. with this config; when I try a speedtest I get below result;

when I change my bandwith setting to "Automatic" in QoS I get below result;

I've tested many times and results are same. It seems the value that I put in upload box limits my download speed from the VPNserver.

I don't want to set bandwith as "automatic" because when using torrent, QoS isn't that effective. With download/upload settings QoS works fine and when I watch a video on YouTube, torrent download speed drops.

I'm not sure this is expected or a bug, I just wondered your comments.

Also It's not a big deal, I can change it to automatic, when I activate VPN client.

Thanks
