Question regarding review methodology

In your wireless router reviews, when you test uplink and downlink results, are those actually uplink and downlink results from the router or the client? Because downlink from the client is actually uplink from the router and vice versa. Thanks for any clarification.

Downlink is router to client. Uplink is client to router.

It also seems pretty consistent on almost every router and every test that Location B is slower than C. Is there something with location B that drags it down? Isn't it closer than C?
