Quick jffs help

I have been searching for an hour and can't find the answer. I thought this would be a simple search.

I am upgrading to Merlin v65.

All I want to do is:

1) See what is in the present jffs partition. What Unix command do I use?
2) Backup that partition so I can restore it after the upgrade. What is the process?

I presently use it to force safe search on Google. I have read plenty on the partition, but can't find out how to do those 2 things.

Will you be using a Linux device or a Windows device to connect to the router? If Windows, then WinSCP can be a very easy-to-use tool, which also allows you to copy jffs folders by way of backup.

From my notes on using WinSCP:

Ensure protocol set to SCP and port 22 (unless you moved your SSH port). Also ENSURE SSH password login is checked in router admin page in webui. (UNCHECK AFTERWARDS).
The username and password are the same as those you use to log into the webui for the router.

1) If using Windows, install WinSCP and connect to router using SCP protocol.
or Telnet/SSH to router; cd /jffs/;ls

2) On RMerlin firmware: Use the GUI? Administration->Restore/Save/Upload Setting
or use @john9527's excellent utility https://www.snbforums.com/threads/user-nvram-save-restore-utility-r24.19521/
