I went ahead and replaced the R7800 that I got with a broken antenna with a new one. I have configured it for my use including updating the firmware to V1.0.2.36. Since I brought it to my new home in Mexico, I have had issues with it losing the internet connection and it looks like it is rebooting. This happens on both wired and wireless connections. I read on the Netgear Forums that downgrading the firmware to V1.0.2.32 is a possible fix for this issue. I have tried it and it continues to happen.
What I have tried -
updated firmware to V1.0.2.36 - didn't fix the issue
Soft reset, manually entered info - didn't fix it
Hard reset, manually entered info - didn't fix it
downgraded firmware, did hard reset, configured it again - didn't fix it.
I cannot have my router going on and off the Internet at random times. It happens 3 or 4 times a day right now, if not more. It is on a UPS so voltage fluctuations are not a problem.
Can any of you give me any suggestions on what I can do to fix this issue? My R7000 was a masterpiece of a router and I got rid of it to get this one based upon its ranking on the Router Rankings. I hope that I didn't get a lemon here.
