New Around Here
Hi.
I'm considering the ultra4/ultra 4 plus from Netgear for my home setup. I do however have a hard time finding any reviews that confirm any differences in read/write performance between the two.
Will the dualcore of the plus model in itself boost writeperformance or are there other factors behind the alleged 30% performance boost of the plus model in the Netgear homepage?

Tnx in advance for any answears.

Only difference between Ultra 4 and Ultra 4+ is the CPU. Dual core in 4+ will improve raw throughput performance. Actual figures depends on protocol used and size of files being transferred.

Dual core is especially useful if you plan to use processor intensive addons such as Web server, etc. and/or serving several streams of HD video or using their transcoding addons.
