Recommended 2-Bay NAS?

Hey all,

My D-Link DNS-323 was spoilt after just 1 year and 3 months of 24/7 operations, just 3 months after the warranty ended. Damn suay.

When I power on the DNS-323, the power light will keep blinking and will not go away, I can't even perform a hard reset on it as nothing happens when I press and hold the rest button at the back with the power on.

I am going to get another 2-Bay NAS because of budget reasons but this time my budget is about 400-500, hope can get a netter one.

I have narrowed down to the following. Any recommendations?

Given where you're coming from (DNS-323), any of your picks are going to be better. But there are less expensive options like the WD MyBook World II and Seagate Blackarmor 220. Even the NETGEAR Stora. Depends on the features you're looking for and whether you prefer a BYOD product.

I used the NAS for sharing files within my home as well as for 24/7 BT download. I also used RAID1 so that my files are mirrored. I know RAID is not a backup solution, I use RAID in addition of my offsite backup.

I furthered narrow down SYNOLOGY Disk Station DS210j and QNAP TS-210 because I had a two friends who have issues with ReadNAS Duo, like HDD being corrupted and the NAS refuses to boot unless a new HDD was slot in. Thecus N3200 Pro on the other hand, don't really like the UI.
