Redirect hardcoded DNS on stock firmware?

Does anyone know if there is a way to redirect hardcoded DNS requests to a PiHole or similar when on stock firmware?

I know you can force a script to run manually to do some of the IPtables scripts, but unless its auto run it seems like half a solution.
