I'm back! Everything upgraded! @RMerlin doesn't deal in eye candy. The feature has a need or it's not added, period. This is at a glance network usage, nothing more. Great work on this firmware as usual!

Unrelated but.... Is it possible on terminal to have the uptime in "Unix" format? I mean, in seconds - instead of having a 1 hour uptime, getting 3600 as a value.

You mean the router's uptime in seconds?

You can use the proc filesystem:

cat /proc/uptime

This file contains two numbers: the uptime of the system (seconds), and the amount of time spent in idle process (seconds).

You can delete it without any issues. In fact you can delete any log file without worrying too much. (Assuming you're not using some externel scripts which pulls data out of it)

Just SSH into the router and delete the TrafficAnalyzer file.

Also once you've cleared the file you can turn off TA from here.

Dirty upgrade on an RT-AC88U, RT-AC68/1900U from 384.15 to 384.17, so far so good. These are 2 of my WAP only units. Saving the two main full routers an RT-AC86U and RT-AC68 for a quieter time as they are running the AMTM stuff too. THANKS!

Only if you are running a current stock ASUS firmware and decide to flash Merlin. Merlin to Merlin updates should be fine without resetting.

On what router model? Going from Asus 384.81792 to Merlin 384.17 on RT-AC86U is a matter of flash and reboot. Also going back and forth few releases on Asus and Merlin doesn't require reset. The more basic config the better chance to jump firmware with no issues. Between firmware releases on the same branch. IT guy here on covid vacation. I reset only if there is no other option. I don't burn my entire backyard to get rid of few weeds.
