Market intelligence firm, Parks Associates, released new research indicating that 20% of U.S. broadband households plan to purchase network security cameras within the next 12 months. In the Park Associate’s report, 360 View: Residential Security and Smart Home, the firm also finds that factors, such as the ability to protect a home while traveling and remote access to connected home systems, rank high as drivers for purchasing a home security system.
In addition to the 20% given for potential security camera purchases, Parks Associates also noted that smart door lock purchases produced a similar percentage.
