Sorry, but no. It's not available in the U.S.

They do sell to the US, same as to everywhere else. Says so on their website and I actually spoke with someone there, who confirmed it. As long as you have a credit card, you have access to the product.

Also it an interesting device, since they offer it with Windows Home Server or naked so you can stick your own OS on it eg Ubuntu, Debian etc. Would be interesting for users, since it is speced better than many of the mid range units from the likes of QNAP and synology.

Besides, I am sure this website here is frequented by by many people from all over the world, who read reviews of products not sold in their country.

I am well aware that SNB has readers all over the globe. But shipping logistics force our focus to be on products that are available via U.S. retail and etail.

What is the difference where the product is shipped from, as long as they deliver it? That is the point of the internet in the first place. In all likelihood they would probably be happy to send you a review sample.

I've been a lurker at SNB for a while but ended up purchasing a SQA-5H to replace a 1TB WD NAS. FYI I purchased it online and had it shipped from the UK to Australia without any problems. I've posted a bit on my experience here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=15933273

Let me know if you have any questions as I'm rather impressed with the box so far.

Thanks
Nathan

PS it would be good to have SNB test the throughput as I've seen file copies vary from between 50 and 350Mbits/sec pending what drives where being used, files type, copy methods etc.
