Dear Forum Members,
since a couple of weeks I have the problem that my clients disconnect from the internet randomly. I have a Asus 87 sitting behind a router from my cable provider which is in bridge mode. When the clients don't have internet I can access the router webif with the clients. The webif shows connected and shows my public ip. To get connected again I have to restart the router, or I can go the Wan settings in the webif and just click apply without actually changing anything . Does anybody have a tip which could help me? Thanks

What firmware are you running? Have you tried a reset to factory defaults and then manually and minimally configuring the router to secure it and connect to your ISP? Have you left your network unplugged (all equipment physically disconnected from the AC power) for at least half an hour, including the modem?

Thanks, no i didnt do any of the suggestions yet.
I have the last Merlin firmware running.
I will start with disconnecting everything for 30 minutes.
I would rather not start a new minimal configuration, i have a lot of portforwards and static ips and vpn configurations running, but if 30 minutes disconnection does not solve the problem, i will do a new installation.
The problem existed already on the older firmware (.59) and then i installed the new firmware but that didnt help. I guess i will have to do a new configuration.

I'm having the same problem. Don't really know why.
All devices are loosing internet connection for a few seconds from time to time. This ca. since firmware 380.60. I'm not really sure.
The logs in the router shows nothing. No WAN disconnects, but all connected devices, no matter whether LAN och WLAN connected, are been disconnected from the internet for a few seconds from time to time. Very unpredictable and sometimes it's happening a few times within 5-10 minutes, Then everything is fine for some hours.
