I have the DLINK DIR-655 Router and looking at the benchmarks it is unclear to me how fast it should be able to copy a file on my LAN. Is this data not included because most new routers can transfer via LAN at the maximum rate possible of 100-125MB/s? I was hoping someone could enlighten me, and if I should be upgrading to an EnGenius ESR9850.

All routers support "wire speed" between LAN ports. The routing portion of the router is not involved.

Your exact speed is mainly determined by your computer, OS and benchmark. You'll typically see 90+ Mbps for 100 Mbps and 500 - 800 Mbps for Gigabit Ethernet.
