Routing problem with Instagram and OpenVPN with HMA !
I have been using RMerlin builds with HMA since August 2013, currently running 374.39_0-em on an N66U.
It has been impossible to use Instagram with the VPN connected to HMA with OpenVPN. And I have checked EVERYTHING imaginable: Factory Reset, Re-Flashing, changing servers... etc. And still it does not work with the VPN but t does when the VPN is turned off.
After checking with HMA support and getting a response from the that it worked fine, I decided to try something different.
I flashed an AC66U with 374.39 configured it exactly the same as the N66U, and when connecting to the same VPN server, with the same account and password, Instagram worked perfectly through the VPN... I don't understand.
Re-checklng my tests I realized I had used different servers on both routers, the problem definitely lies on the HideMyAss servers, most of NYC servers do not provide access to instagram from ANY device (had tested only the Ipad as is my most common device at home).
I have reported the problem to HMA support and am waiting for their response.
So no problem with the routers or RMerlin software... Excuse my previous mistake
