RT-5300 USB flash Drive Merlin Firmware

I have never been able to get a USB flash drive to work with the RT-5300. I installed the Merlin firmware, plug in my USB 3.0 thumb drive. My computer will see it, but when I go to access the files on it (Which I know there is) windows reports the drive empty. Is there a setting in the router firmware that I have to enable to be able to see the files on the thumb drive from my network?

USB application > Servers Center > Network Place(Samba) Share / Cloud Disk

If "Allow guest login" is Off then you must create folders (using the router's menu) and assign permissions to users to access that folder. You can't access files in the root of the USB disk.

If you turn "Allow guest login" On then everyone on the network can access the whole drive, including the root.

I am a dummy. I never mapped the network drive now it works fine......
