Hi all,
I have searched far and wide for a fix for my issue but to no avail as of yet so here goes....
I have a new RT-87U router which is connected to my WAN (via a crappy modem) and the aim is to connect my older RT-68U as a wireless repeater, both are running the latest Merlin (great job btw)
380.63_2 firmware.
The issue is that when setting up the 68U in repeater mode and connecting to the 87Us 5GHz WiFi it just will not keep connected, the RSSI is good and all my other devices connect fine.
I am guessing its one of the ill fated Quantenna issues and am currently just hoping one of the new firmwares will fix it. Either that or its an issue with the RT-68U repeater mode.
For now I am running the repeater connecting to the 2.4GHz wifi instead and that works fine.
Does anyone know if there is any wifi settings or known firmwares that may solve the issue so I can run the repeater on the 5GHz band?
Heres hoping for firmware fixes.
BTW Merlin great job with the firmware its been rock stable on my 68U.
