Hey guys, just wanted to reach out and see if any users have experienced this with the new firmware release just 2 days ago.

I was on Merlin's Firmware and decided to update the firmware to the Asus Firmware that was just released (3.0.0.4.382.15850). When the update finished it appears to have bricked the router. All radio lights were on but the data light (world pic) was red. It looked liked it was in a status of factory reset however there were no visible bands to connect to and when I hardwired in I got no connection. The factory reset button didn't work either. I also tried reset the nvram and that didn't work. Reset it multiple times, unplugged the router for 10 min... Tried everything but nothing worked.

So I put the router in rescue mode and uploaded the firmware again thinking that would fix it. Still didn't work... So I uploaded the Asus firmware 7743 this time and it worked. So I thought, lets try this again so I did a firmware update (382.15850) on the router within the console (192.168.1.1) and boom. The router went into a weird bricked state.

Just wanted to see if any others had problems updating this firmware.

I can confirm that The firmware RT-AC3100_3.0.0.4_382_15850-g7402e99 release 8-31-17 works on my Asus AC3100 router. Also, it appears they have pulled the August 29th "Brick-Maker" firmware from their downloads. Hope this helps
