New Around Here
Hey folks,

I looked thru the changelogs and didn't see anything about this, but wanted to check. I have just bought an RT-AC3100 and put the latest Merlin firmware on it. I'm seeing that the LEDs for both 2.4 and 5GHz are off even when the radios are on and working fine. It is not in stealth mode, as other LEDs are on and working properly.

I did a reset when I first installed Merlin, so is there anything else to try or is this a known issue of some sort?

Thanks!

I have a AC3100 as well but not that issue. If you imported any settings since flashing merlin on the router, reset again and manually configure. Hope this helps.

I have not imported settings, but I went ahead and did a factory reset just now and reconfigured it, but it did not correct the issue. I then did a second immediate reset and held the reset button for over 60 seconds this time. Whatever the second reset did seems to have fixed it. No idea why the first reset did nothing.

The reset button puts the router into recovery mode. The WPS button resets the router to defaults. It is also a good idea to wait 10 minutes with the router powered up before starting to re-configure.
