I've changed my AC3100 (merlin 386.7_2) from a Wireless Router to simply an Access Point. Full factory reset, new configuration with DHCP disabled.

The (now) access point is connected to through a LAN port to a switch, which in turn is connected to a new router. Functionally all is well; however, I am perplexed that the access point reports it has multiple wired clients.

My questions?

1) How/Why does an access point discovers/reports "clients" from the LAN when it really does not?
2) How can the Client List be cleared?

This is an annoyance that is causing my OCD to flare up. :(

Thanks

Your router has AP Mode. When selected, there is no DHCP server. You can use the WAN port to connect it to the switch.

Everything discovered on your network will be shown as wired client, including wireless clients on other APs. This is normal.
