I have read through a couple of threads with similar USB 3.0 issues. But, none which seem to provide any solutions for this particular problem.
the problem is simply this;
I have a hard drive connected to the USB 3.0 When I do a power-cycle reboot, the drive mounts and everything is fine for a highly variable period of time... Then, suddenly the drive is disconnected. And, no amount of tinkering will get it remounted.
Power cycling the router is the ONLY way to remount the drive. It's as if the USB 3.0 driver crashes and, literally, has to be restarted.
I've tried several drives. All have the same problem. I've also tried these same drives on the USB 2.0 connection, where this problem does not appear.
Any insight would be appreciated.
