New Around Here
hi, i'm not sure if this thread is in the right place, but here goes nothing.

i usually can fix most my issues with a bit of google-fu and rarely need to sign up to forums to post my problems because they turn out to already be solved by the time i encounter them. but this one, is a strange one.

basically the router seems to just reboot randomly, i checked the syslog and noticed it was making too many DNS requests (limit was set to 150) so i changed that to 300 following the instructions on a post on here.

well today i got another random reboot and when i checked the syslog i noticed the system time is a bit screwy. it goes from todays date, to august 2015 then back again.

attached are the logs in hopes someone can shed light as to why this is happening and maybe solve the case of why it keeps breaking down on me. perhaps its just time for a new one?

whups cant seem to post the log file

Time issue is normal, there's no real time clock in the router so it reverts to a set date before NTP kicks in. Unsure as to what's causing the reboots, there doesn;t appear to be anything immediately preceding the reboots other than USB drives. Are you running any scripts or services e.g. FTP?

no scripts or services that i know of, apart from the trend micro stuff that came with the router. won't be sad to see them go though if theyre an issue.

i am using a Pi as a DNS.
