RT-AC56U - How to delay a specific drive mount

exodusbhz

New Around Here
Hi there friends! I am on 374.42_2 merlin build.

Have 1 pendrive connected on router for jssf and a hdd for storage only.

The thing is everytime the router is rebooted with hdd connected it does not
recognize the pendrive as the jssf and so don't load the things installed on it,
as for example the screen application, ncftp... even my symbolic links are deleted.

So I can not boot the router with both things connected on it. But sometimes
I am not at home, so I can't do this workaround.

Is there a way to delay the mount of the harddrive, so everytime the router boots,
it mounts the pendrive first?

Sorry for my english and brazilian greetings 4all!

I do not fully understand your problem, why is the mounting order important?

With Asuswrt (including Merlin) drives are mounted under /mnt/ using their label as name.

If you have a drive with the label "foo" it will be mounted as /mnt/foo. That way mounting order does not matter.

Thank you for your answer. I think that the reason for this might be the
minidlna initialization. When I have the hdd connected, maybe, the pendrive
mount takes more time. And as the minidlna initialization starts before the
pendrive is mounted, I end up with two SISTEMA labels like this:

/mnt/sistema
/mnt/sistema(1)

The only folder inside /mnt/sistema is minidlna

The other labels from my hdd are correct:

/mnt/arquivos
/mnt/config

When the pendrive is connected alone, after rebooting the router, I have
only one label SISTEMA, which is correct and with everything running fine,
like ncftp, screen...

pendrive label: sistema
harddrive part1 label: arquivos
harddrive part2 label: config

When everything is fine I have:
