RT-AC56u+USB: Which partion and filesystem type?

My router isnt running 24/7, after especially a cold boot sometimes the NTFS USB drives (<= 2TB) showing filesystem corruption. It happens on USB2 or USB3 port each connected to a hub. I can fix that in AsusWrt webinterface.

I think I have to change partition and file system others than NTFS. So which combination is the most reliable using at the router? MBR or GPT, EXT xyz, which partion tool?

Thanky you and best regards.

fat32 , however it doesnt support 4gig plus files

the other formats are not supported

cold boot will cause issue and fixing it with the web gui is prob the right thing after an incorrect shut down
