RT-ac66R connects android devices but no data

Good evening. I got this router a week ago and all was fine. On Saturday I moved it from inside my cabinet to the top on my rack right next to the cabinet. The issue I'm facing now is my iPads connect fine. Everything wired is fine but my android devices aren't accessing data. They say connected to the router but don't have internet access. If I enable the guest network and name it Asus guest my android devices connect just fine and work properly. So what gives why can they connect to my regular network but not access internet? What am I over looking?

I'm also on the latest firmware.

Try deleting the wireless profile on your Android device and recreating it.

No settings were changed in the move. I did factory reset the router last night to rule out any settings but still have the same issue. I deleted the network out of all android devices to no avail.

I'm going to try loading a custom firmware tonight and see if that changes anything. Just not sure why they won't connect but if I have a guest network enabled they connect fine.

my router is assigning weird ip addresses to those androids. i noticed they are being assigned 192.168.100.xxx when they should be 192.168.1.xxx any idea what would be causing this?

i think something is wrong with the way the router handles DHCP. If i change my android devices ip addresses ( i just deleted 192.168.100.xx) i deleted the two 00 out of it on my android devices and they connected right up correctly. so either android has a problem with the asus router(ive never had this problem until i got this router) or the router is defective or isnt good at handling DHCP

My first guess would be that you have two DHCP servers running on your LAN, and it will be up to whichever answers first to the client requests.

I think some modems for instance use 192.168.100.0/24 for their subnet. Make sure you didn't disable the firewall on your router, which might cause (amongst other things) your modem's DHCP server to be exposed to your LAN.

One way to help tracking it down would be to get the MAC address of whichever DHCP server is assigning those IPs. Not sure if a tool such as Android System Info could report this information however.
