New Around Here
I use an RT-AC66U with Asus Merlin 3.0.0.4.374.32.

I didn't notice this until now, so I'm not sure if it was broken in previous versions.

I have 2 set top boxes at my place - a PVR and an STB.

If I have 1 of the boxes just on, everything is fine.
If I start another stream (watch another channel on another box or record another channel while watching a different one) then everything starts dying.
My internet dies (can't connect anywhere) and my TVs lose signal or turn into a pixelated mess.

I replaced my old Netgear WNDR4000 with this router which had no issues doing this. From my service profile, I can get 3 streams in HD and 1 in SD at any given time. If I try to change channels, the TVs will start again, then die about 10-30 seconds later. From my ISP, everything is fine, because if I hook up the Actiontec gateway they provide, it works fine, but then I lose my 5GHz, AC, DHCP reservations, etc.

I can not dedicate 1 or 2 individual ports to just the STBs as my network runs are limited (1 to each bedroom and 1 to living room, with gigabit switches on the other ends when multiple ports are needed.)

The modem is an Alcatel Cellpipe 7130 (ALU,) not a bridged Actiontec, so there's no issues there.

It may be a hardware failure, given that as soon as I light up the second box, about 30 seconds later, once my network dies, I can't even ping the AC66U.

Troubleshooting done so far:

- fresh firmware install - restore mode - install firmware - no change
- tried newest Asus stock firmware - no change
- tried every combination of settings under LAN -> IPTV under the sun
- soft reset both PVR and STB - no change

Any ideas?

Thanks.
