Occasional Visitor
Hi, I'm new to the forums. Have been looking around, but seems like I don't need anything anymore, none the less that the router isn't used that much.
1. Switched till wired
2. I don't need to have anything attached(HDD, USB)
3. I'm just a home user, so I don't need a supreme fw
4. No need for IPv6(nor do I want it at all)
5. Most important data is now going wired, so no need for a boost on the wireless(turned off 2.5ghz)
Wired: 1 PC-Workstation, 1 Smart-TV
Wireless: 2 phones on the 5ghz and some guests when they drop by(I trust my friends)
It's been a while since I've been working with shell & nix, so I'm not sure what more to do. I could disable httpd, but that won't have any impact.
I'd switch till the ISP-modem, but there's no FW and I still need the 5ghz for mobile.
Use the rest on Seti@Home(whatnot) or can I get any benefits?
Edit: Don't need the VPN client, nor server function
