I just picked up an HP MFP M277dw printer and I would like to figure out a way that I can make this printer available to both my local network and the Guest network (no access to intranet, internet only) that I setup for my kids. I was hoping that I could use Ethernet to connect to the internal network and then connect the WiFi to the Guest network, but it would appear that once the printer detects that it's connected via Ethernet it disables the WiFi connection...boo!
Next I tried to create a new Guest network, gave it access to the internal network and connected the printer to it. The devices on the internal network could see the printer, but my kids' devices weren't able to see the printer. I guess devices on separate Guest networks can't see each other?
At this point I can't think of any other ways around this, but I'm hoping some fresh eyes and possibly another perspective will come up with something ingenious.
Thanks guys!
