I have a RT-AC66U running the latest Merlin S/W. The only real issue I am having is port forwards working when I setup the RT-AC66U as a router using the Fios router DMZ zone pointing to the RT-AC66U. If I use a DMZ host to the Asus router any request to a port forward to the Asus from the Fios router is ignored and doesn't work. I would prefer to have the Asus as the main router connected to my Fios router and not change the Fios router to a bridge as it would affect my TV stations. Any ideas?

I don't have any problems running three routers behind my Actiontec.

I would suggest that you set up your AC66U in a double NATed situation.

Set the AC66U with a static WAN IP in the Actiontec's range but not in the range assigned by the DHCP server on the Actiontec.

Set up the AC66U in a different subnet and have it assign DHCP addresses in this range.

Connect LAN port on Actiontec to WAN port on AC66U.

If you need any Port forwards set them up on the Actiontec pointing to the WAN IP you set in step one.

It works. I have FTP servers setup, remote access, DynamicDNS, a Slingbox and a couple of other services. The only thing I haven't gotten to work is a VPN client on the ASUS running Merlin's firmware

thank you for the info. I did this and here is a log of what I am getting when I attempt to FTP into my readynas storage device.

It looks as if some part of it is working. What could be missing?

Well I am a dope, I did it a second time and the folder list came up. Thank you for your help, both of you!!!!!
